The High Tunnel

The High Tunnel
or
How It All Started

After nearly fifteen years on our place, and after optimistically starting a traditional garden, working it with heartbreaking results for a number of years, I finally gave it up as hopeless.  Still wanting to eat local food, and being fed up with the quality of produce available locally, we contributed to this CSA for a season.   That was inspirational, because she grew some good stuff!
Me to husband:
"Let's try one of those covers for a garden."
Him:
"It will blow down."

So for a couple of years I kept an eye on a few that were around locally - like this one.
It didn't blow down.
So we tried it.

 And guess what?
It's been awesome.

So I'm hoping to share a little of our blind luck and trial by fire with anyone else who'd like to take a crack at it.
Happy Gardening!
